The agenda included status updates on the 5 work packages of the project and a workshop with the company Visikon, participating as a project partner.<\/p>\n
The focal point of the workshop was the content for the app being developed as part of the user-engagement effort for digital patient education in collaboration with the patient group, ensuring it reflects the needs of the target audience. The informational material in the app will be tested and developed with a selection of relevant users, including patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), their relatives, and healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n
The app “Min IBD-behandling” is intended for patients affiliated with both Clinic Online and Clinic on Demand. It aims to educate patients about their disease through animated videos, providing insights into the course of the illness, self-monitoring, and more.<\/p>\n
At the workshop health personnel were asked questions such as:<\/p>\n
\n- What do people with IBD need to know to manage their own condition?<\/li>\n
- What do people with IBD need to know to be patients in Clinic Online and Clinic on Demand?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
It was an interesting workshop that provided insight into what healthcare professionals expect users to need to know. To ensure the user perspective, the workshop format should also be tested on a user panel consisting of patients with IBD.<\/p>\n
