\n\t\t\t\t\t\tWednesday, December 11, marked a milestone in the SmartClinic project. On this day, a new app developed by the company Visikon was introduced in the medical department at Zealand University Hospital.

The app aims to educate patients with IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) about their condition and is part of the digital treatment process in the project.<\/p>\n

The app was developed in collaboration between the company Visikon, Zealand University Hospital, and Sk\u00e5ne University Hospital, where the app will also be tested.<\/p>\n

The purpose of Project SmartClinic is to develop a generic model for digitalized treatment pathways for patients with chronic diseases.<\/p>\n

In the project, the chronic gastrointestinal disease Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is used as a case to develop and test a model for digitalized treatment pathways, which can eventually be applied to other medical specialties dealing with chronic diseases.<\/p>\n

In the project, a model for an outpatient SmartClinic is being developed and tested, comprising two treatment pathways: a Clinic Online and a Clinic on Demand.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t“We have been looking forward to getting started with using the app. By equipping patients with more knowledge about their illness and symptoms, we can give them greater freedom to stand on their own.
\r\nOur patients gain knowledge through one-on-one conversations and educational sessions, and the app is meant to supplement their understanding. The project’s user panel has contributed valuable perspectives to the initiative.”
